Biography

Esther Nanyinza is a senior lecturer at the University of Livingstonia. She worked as a lecturer for 12 years in the faculty of Education. Her area of specialization is Educational Psychology. Hence she teaches Psychology related courses in the department of humanities. Other areas include Research methodology and Curriculum development. During her career, Nanyinza has had many accomplishments including supervising students, writing modules for the department, leading in curriculum and programme development among others. Nanyinza holds a PhD in Educational Psychology obtained from the University of Zambia, a Master of Arts obtained from Northeast Normal University in China and a Bachelor’s degree in Education obtained from Mzuzu University. Before joining the university, Nanyinza served as a secondary school teacher for 9 years where she taught English, Geography and Life skills Education. Her goal is as a teacher educator is to ensure that pre-service teachers who graduate are able to apply their theoretical knowledge to actual classroom contexts.
