Water quality assessment, and Environmental chemistry
Mirriam Zgambo-Hara is an Associate Lecturer in the Chemistry Section of the Department of Education Science at the University of Livingstonia, Laws Campus. She teaches General Chemistry and Organic Chemistry at undergraduate level, with an emphasis on building strong foundational skills in chemistry. Her research focuses on the biological and physicochemical properties of water from shallow wells, with particular interest in water quality and its implications for community health. Since joining the University of Livingstonia in January 2025, she has been involved in teaching and student mentorship. She is passionate about using chemistry to address practical challenges in Malawi and to inspire the next generation of scientists.
