The European Society for Quality Research (ESQR) has awarded the University of Livingstonia (Unilia) as one of the outstanding faith-based private universities in Malawi and beyond.
The award ceremony occurred in Brussels – Belgium – at the 2023 International Diamond Prize for Excellence Convention which was held on 9 July.
Vice Chancellor for Unilia, The Very Reverend, Associate Professor, Timothy Kabulunga Nyasulu received the award on behalf of Unilia.
According to the Vice Chancellor, the ESQR has awarded Unilia because of its sound leadership and research and innovations that its staff and students champion.
The ESQR noted that for the past recent years the Unilia leadership has been particularly exemplary and committed in: ensuring that things are done in the right way; making connections with partners within and outside the country; communicating with people it works with and people it serves; championing creativity through development of new programmes relevant to current society and the significant innovations by both faculty members and students, the Vice Chancellor disclosed.
Unilia is among 49 business and academic institutions from, Europe, Asia, North America, South America, and Africa that were awarded for their excellence in quality.
