In Loving Memory — Messages Received: 37
Peter Henry - Davidson, NC

To Brenda and Timothy\'s Family- I was so sad and shocked to hear of Timothy\'s passing. He and I had only recently reconnected through the UNILIA board. I will always remember his kindnesses to me when I traveled to Malawi and his visit, with you, to Grosse Pointe, MI. May the Lord bless you and keep you in the memory of Timothy and his love and faithfulness.
David Sangree - University of Livingstonia Foundation

On behalf of myself and the University of Livingstonia Foundation I want to express our deep condolences for the death of Timothy Nyasulu. We have enjoyed working with Timothy over the past years as he has been an active part of our Foundation board meetings. His visit to the United States in the summer of 2025 was positive and raised awareness about the University. He had many good ideas to improve the University and will be greatly missed.
Dr Aaron Myaba - Queen Elizabeth Central Hospital Blantyre Malawi

I am saddened by the passing of the Rev Prof TPK Nyasulu, apart from being our spiritual father, he has inspired us academically. May his soul rest in eternal peace. Pumulani Waliska??

We at the Rafiki Foundation USA, the Rafiki Board of Directors international, the President Emerita – Mama Rosemary, and the local Rafiki Board, express our deepest condolences to the church, university, and especially family at this sad news of the sudden passing of our brother Timothy. Like you we were so shocked and heartbroken at this news.

We here are all grieved at this deep loss for the church, the university and most of all Timothy’s family.
He was an outstanding man, a strong Christian and excellent leader. I personally am grateful I had the privilege of knowing him for more than fifteen years.
We had the privilege of working with Rev. Nyasulu as moderator of the church during challenging times and we benefited from his wisdom and support.
He was a wise and gracious man and whenever Rafiki needed help or advice he was always available. He was a great advocate for our school curriculum by enabling us to introduce our curriculum at the federal level. He also worked tirelessly to see that our teacher’s college was accredited. He was a visionary and eager to do what was needed to see people know God. We could not do this work without his support and we had it 100%.

I know he will be missed by the church, the university, the country of Malawi and most of all his lovely family. We are praying especially for his wife, Brenda in this loss and we know that she has suffered other heartbreaking losses. We trust God will comfort and strengthen her and we at Rafiki will do what we can to stand with her during this time.

Even though as Christians we do not grieve as the world grieves, we still do grieve. Jesus himself wept at Lazarus’ death. And so, we too feel the loss deeply and for a long time. But we are comforted with the fact we will see our loved ones again.

But for now, we will all grieve the loss and yet thank God and celebrate the very meaningful and fruitful life he led. God has used him mightily to lead the church in central and southern Africa and the university. Now, God is giving him rest.
Grace and Peace, Karen Elliott, Executive Director, Rafiki Foundation
